At St Patrick’s Catholic School, parents are acknowledged as the primary educators of their children and are invited to enter into meaningful partnerships with the school and wider parish community.
Members of the school community are invited to become fully involved in all aspects of school life including:
- Parents and Friends Association
- School Advisory Team
- Canteen
- Uniform Shop Volunteers
- St Patrick’s Feast Day Celebrations
- School Excursion Assistance
- School Sport Coaching / Managing Assistance
- Easter and Christmas Celebrations
- Reading Volunteers
- Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and Grandparents’ Day Celebrations
Parents are invited to participate in all our Liturgies and Masses, whether whole school, class or grade. We pride ourselves on the involvement of the parish and school communities. Parents read, prepare the gifts, are Eucharistic ministers, assist in delivering the Sacramental Programme and serve as acolytes.
We understand that communication with parents and friends is vital. The fortnightly newsletter is used as a vehicle by both the Principal and the Religious Education Co-ordinator to communicate with parents about various aspects of Catholic life and mission within the school. In addition, St Patrick’s maintain an active Facebook page to inform and remind parents about school matters.
Once a term, we have open classes where parents and friends are invited to come into classrooms to see what the children have been learning throughout the term.
Persons volunteering at St Patrick’s are required to meet Work Health & Safety requirements for volunteers and attend an induction at the school prior to commencing any work. For further information please visit our Work Health & Safety Page.
